Inglenook Court Posts

The clients wanted their party barn addition to reflect some of the funkiness found in the nearly bizarre remodeling work down on the connected ancient carriage house. They were so committed to this that they tore down a recently and well built (but boring) barn to make way for the new one. Who could resist such a commission? Not I. I am not sure where the tipped posts started; but they gained a life of their own. They show up on two floors. This is a photo of the upper floor, where they help to define an inglenook around the fireplace. The wonderful thing about this shot and this room is that you can turn to the side and take a shot.
